We love our new Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo benchtops - it was a difficult choice as this stone is so expensive - but mragret and the team at Stone Obsessions were so easy tp deal with and the installation and finished benches are perfect.

Started off well then installer stormed out when asked to add silicone where it was lacking. Came back 10mins later threatening to remove the benchtops. Following a few questions he swore and stormed out again. Manager didnt believe it luckily I had another tradesperson onsite to varify to her. Owner turned up and explained that they have taken other benchtops out before over payment - payment was not the issue. Made my husband come home to deal with it as i was very upset at being sworn at AND how management dealt with it. No apology whatsoever. Basically they were paid to get out of our house. One side had 11mm silicone running to 1mm. Needless to say we don't recommend.
We are sorry you weren't pleased with your benchtops Amy, especially after we were able to supply them to you at a discounted trade price and have them installed within a few days. Please be assured that your benchtops have been fabricated and installed to comply with the relevant Australian Standards and the manufacturers fabrication guidelines, ensuring registration of your 10 year warranty. The silicone you refer to is due to your walls being very unsquare and as we were told there would be decorative timber on that wall, we opted to leave a small gap to avoid any possibility of damage to your cabinet panels during installation, also remembering that your cooktop was not disconnected and your kitchen has a layout with limited access. It is our policy to offer all customers a full refund.
The consistent failure to apologise for your employee walking out twice and swearing at a customer astounds me.
2: The Australian tolerance is 5mm ? see pic being 11mm ? this was butting up to an external rendered wall (not a cabinet) and secondly this is the reason you come to take a template. Its left the area weak as the backing is 100mm and the gap 110mm. Luckily its in a corner with no weight put on it.

Amy, its so disppointing that we werent able to please you, and continuing a keyboard argument is neither professional or beneficial to anyone. I feel under the circumstances we really did a great job, we often go the extra mile to ensure our jobs are great, and all are clients are happy. As I suggested on the day- we do offer a full refund, if you wish to take advantage of this please feel fee to call and we can arrange a time for removal and refund.
