Dj Peril/Street Elite has been involved in the Melbourne/Australian urban genre since it's inception in 1983 which he started out as a bboy & Graffiti artist that went by the name you guessed it Peril ,and then later on started collecting and playing records and fell into djing from his passion in music,and later called him self Dj Peril.
He later joined force's with some of melb's most notorious underground graffiti crews SDA,DMA,and in 86 he formed the the crew "Claim 2 Fame", which became one of the top 3 crews in Oz in there day.
Peril art work can be seen heavily featured in the book "Kings Way"(in book stores now) which is a melbourne retrospective of graffiti art from 83-93,as an Aerosol artist and contributor
Peril went on to play and dj in many original Urban fusion bands all through 90's and in 1997 founded and produced the Aria Award winning group "1200 Techniques",which he produced 2 album's with which was the 1st Hip hop act in Australia to win and Aria award for best independant release and Video clip ever,before they parted ways in 2004,since then he has been steady producing beats 4 local and overseas artists and has an artist called Knowledge Bones(W.A) about to drop his album.
Peril can be seen djing all over Oz on the regular & is a member of the World famous Zulu nation (N.Y) as well as running a string of club institutions over the years such as "Planet of the break's" and can be seen in the mix every sat at his club night "Soulclap" Est 2002 and going ...read more
