We just upgraded a Meal for Three to the Red Emporer Fish. This meal was disgusting! The fish was old, dry and tasteless. Contacted the owner who blamed the supplier and did not offer any replacement. I will not be back which is a shame as we want to support our local businesses.
The review by arnott is very outdated and unreliable. I am a regular customer and the new owners (different from the owners who served arnott) are much better and very tasty. The quantity is reasonable, the chips are very nice and the fish are delicious and crispy. I believe this place deserves much more credit than arnott gives it because there are now new owners.
This Fish & Chip shop has had a few management in the past but I have to say the latest is by far the worst. Poor service, Poor quality - the Chips are usually overcooked and in old oil, I cant comment on the fish as we have not been game to try it. My biggest complaint by far though is the QUANTITY, its an absolute joke, even after bringing our concerns to their attention. Even though its bearly a 2min walk I would rather get in my car and go somewhere else.
