For garden maintenance, back-yard clean-ups, permaculture design and landscaping specialising in 'foodscapes' indigenous habitats.The purpose of Sustainable Gardening Services is to create ecologically sustainable gardens across the back-yards of Brisbane, and to provide employment opportunities to the disadvantaged in our community.
We specialise in organic gardening techniques, permaculture design, and ecologically sustainable landscapes, including 'Indigenous Butterfly' gardens and 'Bushfood' gardens. SGS has built frog ponds, herb spirals, fruit orchards, vege patchs, retaining walls and native lawns.
SGS is different because we only use ethanol blended fuels in our machines and vehicles; we recycle our grass clippings into compost for community gardens; we are 'non-profit' with the profits made spent back on the business and it's workers; we restrict the use of herbicides.
