After having problems with our flight, we checked in late. The lady at reception was wonderful, she understood we were tired and made every effort to check us in quickly.
The room was great, clean and spacious.. We met some friends for drinks in the bar on Saturday night, again the staff were very efficient and welcoming. Overall we had a super weekend.
I had a conference in this hotel and was very impressed at the level of facilities on level 7 where all of the meeting rooms were located.
The boardoom we were in had a mini bar with soft drink, a big box of gourmet cookies and lots of stationery. The catering for morning and afternoon tea was fantastic. The service from the staff was courteous and sincere which is so rare nowadays!
The boardrooms were not modern, but still well equipped and comfortable.
We also ate at the restaurant (Icon Brasserie) and found the quality to be top notch.
Also, being right next to Circular Quay, I would definitely recommend this venue to host business functions, particularly for out of town travellers.
Stayed here recently - it was pleasant and modern but in my opinion there could have been better attention to detail and warmer hospitality compared to what I've experienced at other Marriott properties. The location makes up for that though, and the restaurant quality was as good as the last time I went.
