This is the third time in as many weeks I've made the mistake of going into Tait Timber and Hardware in Tooronga.
As soon as you step into the shop the feeling is repressive. Every conversation is filled with fear. The shop staff AND the timber staff seem scared and in a hurry as if they are being bullied and judged by how long they spend with a customer.

It's always 'too hard' for the taits team
I'm not sure how this company stays afloat. There timber is expensive and customer service is terrible.
HugeReno my experience has been the opposite. Admittedly the shop is not glitsy - unless you go to the flooring showroom upstairs - but one does not go there for galmour. As to the staff I have found them invariably helpful. Again, a bit down to earth but I want expert advice not media skills.
