When looking for something different in a resort, Grindelwald Swiss Village offers the best of everything. It is located on a large estate dedicated to creating a beautiful resort/country feel, ensuring something special for everyone. My children enjoyed the Chocolate Shop in the resort's village, along with lunch in the village restaurant - which also happens to hold great family nights on a Friday evening through December. There is plenty to do for the children (of an outdoor recreational nature) and the village shop attendants are friendly and accommodating with both adults and children alike. If you eat in the restaurant, the children get to jump for free on the children's giant jumping apparatus outside the restaurant, with outstanding views to the countryside to boot. This, of course, leaves the adults to enjoy an extended lunch with wonderful service, surrounds and menu selections.
