Me and my wife went to this "muilti-award" winning cafe a few weeks ago, we read the reviews but we still decided to give the place a chance. We were surprised by how underestimated this cafe was. The extensive menu, amazing food, coffee, groceries, (thou are pricey, either offer a good brands "Maggie Beer" or they have their own products they make them selves! It gets better, the service was outstanding, Owning my own business, I can safely say the customer service from the young male manager was above and beyond. His knowledge of all the products, his polite attitude and enthusiasms too welcome and look after us, even when the whole cafe was full and his genuine smile has made as go back and become members of their food club. While our waiter was positively delightful, I was very disappointed with the food, especially given the prices. One of our party was shocked to receive only one piece of bread (with topping), rather than two, for her $14.50 (or so) chicken melt; but my sour dough roast beef sandwich was a disaster. The bread felt cold and rather hard to the touch as if it had been refrigerated and wasn't absolutely fresh; worse, as I was eating, I began to notice a very unpleasant smell, ...it turned out to be the roast beef! It seems the only reason my nose picked up the smell rather than my sense of taste was because the raw red onion completely overpowered the entire sandwich (this was the case with all three meals we ordered).
