Had termicide installed in a new build and had warranty inspections done every year as required. Discovered termites one day and so expected to be covered under warranty. Immediately technicians started talking about costs to treat. After two short visits they said the termites *probably* went around the termicide and because they havent gone through the termicide barrier that isnt classed as warranty. They didnt determine the point of entry though and said it would be up to the homeowner to work that out. They did say though that if I gave them $4000 for a treatment they would repair the damaged wall out of good will. I can now see the warranty is meaningless. If termites do cause damage, they just claim that the termites must have gone around their barrier and so warranty doesnt apply. Then they send me an invoice for turning up to look at the damage and a reminder for an annual warranty inspection for the next year. Absolute joke.
Same here. And my neighbour. Total scam.
My neighbour and I paid for annual inspections. Never missed.
Termicide missed seeing we had termites when they did the inspections and then said that their barrier did the job, the termites went over the top of it.
We both were left with all the damage to pay for.
Then Termicide sent us a reminder for an annual inspection and said that once we pay $3000-4000 to have a barrier put around the house, they will reinstate our warranty.
Biggest scam I've been unfortunately caught up with.
Shame on Metricon homes for using this company.

As much as they make out to be a big player in the termite business, do not go with these guys!
I have them out to treat quite extensive termite problem at one of my rental properties on a bigger block. Sure, the infestation was pretty bad and needed a bit of work but after many treatments and some $1500 dollars later, professional inspections have shown that they have not been irradicated at all!! and the process has occurred over many months, potentially making the situation worse and also preventing work done to repair the walls etc...
It is pretty much industry standard that for termite control, it is FREE unless it is fully eradicated.
We have requested a refund, but they have denied. I am now putting in a complaint to ACCC.
Real estate had organised these guys to come out. Ended up putting dints in walls from the ball end of their tool and black marks up walls from the other end of their tool. Absolutely careless, thanks for the damage which I have to now fix. Don't recommend, don't do a thorough job to say the least and leave without care.
Had all our pest done with our yearly termite inspection, the guys who done it where nice blokes, but our freshly painted walls now have all spray marks up and down them and pest control spray all over our windows, and that's only what we could see, and nothing's changed in regards to spiders we r still getting plenty of them and cockroaches, so not recommended at all and they won't be doing our yearly inspection anymore with a service that doesn't kill or control anything, seems to be just a money grab thing to me.
Very disappointed !!
