For mine the best Thai in Sydney is found in Newtown, which has everything to do with the competition level. However, as Thai goes this place is fine. I feel the price per main is probably about $1-$2 too expensive, but that in itself isn't the reason to avoid this place.
All the dishes we had on our last visit was fine and they do understand making things mild and spicy, The two curries we had where tasty and had plenty of meat. On another occasions we have been here it has got way too busy for the amount of staff on and the service really dropped off, having to wait ages for our food, and trying to get more rice or more drinks was near impossible. But that was a one off and we are happy to return, and have on numerous occasions have since.
We went to this restaurant for a few times because we read some great reviews about it. The first visit was very happy. The food was delicious and very typically Thai. The restaurant was always crowded compared to the nearby other restaurants. However the most recent visit wasn't so delightful. We ordered seafood and the fish fillet was not fresh at all. Being a seafood lover I can easily tell whether the seafood is fresh or not. And I was surprised that a restaurant with such a great reputation would service such unfresh seafood. We've never been back again after that. We may go back and try some other dishes one day but not in the near future.
