The Bearded Tit

I would say that this is your typical inner city bar, but honestly, is there such a thing as a typical inner city bar? I think not, and this is certainly the case here. This bar really does have a lot of charm about it, and they also have some nice tap beers as well, which is not all that surprising. However, one really cool thing about this place is the caravan out the back. I’m sure it gets an awful lot of use, but I’m not going to imagine what for. It certainly is comfortable inside.

The Bearded *it is your go-to gathering place in Redfern if you're down with the LGBTQI get down!

I've seen drag shows there that have made me spray my dakari all over myself.
I've seen bands there that'll have made me spill my dakari on others.
I've seen other people spill their dakari's here just because.

The crowd is always friendly!
The bar staff are always ALWAYS great and the place is decorated like Freddy Mercury, Liberace and Liza Minnelli's inner west sharehouse, I could spend all night laughing at the quotes and quips.

If you're a drink-sinker with a open and loving thinker, get your stinker to the Bearded *it and have a mad one.

A very tongue-in-cheek establishment in Redfern that totally rocks. You can tell that whoever owns this joint is super laid back with a wicked sense of humour and an ‘I don’t care what you thik’ attitude. That is exactly what makes this place pretty awesome. We enjoy lying in the caravan in the garden and enjoying a lazy cider. The décor is very quirky, you can sit in an old dentist chair at the front door. The food is decent bar food and the drinks are cheap which is a rarity. The staff seem to genuinely enjoy working at the Bearded T*t and they constantly have live music so why wouldn’t you?!

As far as local bars go, this place is perfection. Friendly, fun, awesome cocktails,a safe for all environment and so much care and thought has been put into the decor. It's obviously been a labour of love. Very cool. Very hip and so Redfern.

If you want qwirky and fun, this is the place to be! The retro erotic decor of the bar is awesome and the courtyard with the van tricks your mind you're out of the city and instead being at a bush doof or somewhere that is NOT, the city. Their cheese board platter is just to die for! Good people good vibes all round.
