The Corner House
The Corner House is actually a three in one type of venue.
Each section given a separate name, The kitchen, Dining Room and Living Room. Each serves its own function, wine bar, restaurant bar.
So, whatever you're looking for, from a quick drink, a chat over a few glasses of wine or a dinner proper, you'll find it all here in distinctly quirky and mismatched environments.
This cool corner has serious street cred. Lounge in the Lounge Room for a long cocktail, maybe a fruity gimlet, before retiring to the Dining Room downstairs. ‘Two Olive Trees and a Pig’ pizza has everyone talking but ‘Daniella’ is inspired by a long lost love and is a light and refreshingly nontomato-based pizza pie, piled high with asparagus, pecorino and prosciutto. Shear it up to share with the antique scissors ...read more

Decided to venture out beach way for once and stumbled into this place, recommended by my barista. Luckily it wasn't packed when we got there so we managed to score the table on the balcony upstairs, and it was happy hour too so it was a double win. However it started to get more and more packed until there was literally no space or room for anyone on the balcony, and the line at the bar was just ridiculous. The staff at the bar weren't that efficient with multi tasking and they were all just chatting to each other taking their time serving people which got quite annoying after standing there for about 15 minutes waiting to be served. I would definitely not come here on a Friday night/weekend but it has a cool vibe and can imagine it won't be as sardine packed during the weekday.
Having been a Bondi local now for 4 years, we finally decided to try this place which for some reason we always seemed to bypass because it looks small from the front. There is actually an entire back section and also upstairs cocktail bar area and the food and drinks is awesome.
Pretty much, just order the 'Special Pizza'... it changes every week but since we started going here, it has never let us down. Definitely one of the best pizzas in Sydney.
I can't rave about this place enough. There is a bar upstairs with the restaurant downstairs and in the back. It has everything - great service, medium lighting, delicious bread to start with every order (drizzled with oil, so good) and a great selection of food. We've had everything from the fish of the day (my favourite) to the beef cheek gnocchi with warm beetroot (so filling and melts in your mouth) to the tasty pizzas and you can't go past the tiramisu dessert. It's not pretentious or over the top. Book ahead to avoid disappointment and pack your wallet, it's pricey but worth it.
