The Dunkirk Hotel

I have to say that this was a pretty cool little pub. Okay it was pretty quiet when I came here, but that is a good thing at times. They have this nice little courtyard where you can eat, though they do turn it into a smokers area around mid afternoon. I found that the staff here were really friendly, which does make for a pretty good pub. Okay, I can't say that it is a hugely fantastic pub, but it was quiet and peaceful, with the football playing in the background (another thing I like about a pub). It is one of those places where you can meet up with friends for a quiet afternoon drink. Nothing to flashy, but it does carry a pretty nice charm about the place and place I'd be happy to return to if I was in the area.

We moved into the area recently and after trying a few of the local drinking establishments, this is the one that we often go back to. The food is fantastic and very reasonably priced, and the service, both in the bar and the restaurant is excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

A good pub that serves nice meals. Has a nice little courtyard area downstairs and a fairly modern area upstairs. Not the place you'd go for a big night out, but you can definitely have a good time here with some mates.

Much better with the recent refurb. Te food is pretty good and always gets busy in there, especially friday lunchtimes with people dropping in for a meal and a few cold ones.

My only gripe is the miserable staff.

Love the Kirk's new refurbishment. Great traditional pub meals that are quite cost effective yet delicious. Quite busy Friday lunch times which adds to the atmosphere. It has a few different areas which all have a different vibe. Good for big group lunches or even a one on one.
