The breads and rolls only look nice and crunchy but they are not. I was looking forward to a crunchy pumpkin seed roll (like in Germany) but was disappointed after the first bite. It was tasteless and not crunchy at all, as soft and soggy as anywhere else in Australia. Flavourless. No comparison to real German rolls which are crunchy and full of flavour. And prices are ridiculously high.
I love the pretzels from here. They are super big, super soft and super tasty (read: salty). It is in the food court so you can buy and dash pretty easily. The prices are a bit high but it is probably worth it for the tasty snack. There are other breads and pastries but I haven't ever tried those. Note, they often seem to run out of things so buy frequently and early!
5 Star Apple Strudel! I was in Berlin last year and their apple strudel is the closest I've come to finding an authentic apple strudel in Parramatta. I haven't tried the breads yet, but they look delicious, will leave them for the next run. Definitely hooked on the Apple Strudel though (personal recommendation: service with high quality vanilla ice cream on the side and you have yourself a real treat...)
