Still in the process of renovating and filling the pot holes in the car park area, but the long awaited refurbished Guildford Hotel has had quite the makeover blending in Federation and Industrial Chic interior. Loads of space to mingle, hard to get a table at a Sunday session. Nicely decked out downstairs and upstairs area with a range of seating options ranging from lounges, bar stools, table & chairs to ample standing space with well thought out ledges to place your drinks on. Spacious beer garden with outdoor grill. Loads of tables and chairs on the balcony to enjoy the view. The drinks are on the pricey side, but there is a huge selection to choose from by the bottle or glass. The bar food menu is trendy. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff.

Good atmosphere,
Terrible food; paid $24 for a double cheeseburger, that supposedly was going to be Wagyu beef that was medium rare (how I like it) but then came out and had one piece of iceberg lettuce and what seemed to be a bun that was bought from the local coles and then the paddy had seemed like it was cut in half and slapped the name double cheeseburger to get an extra $3 (compared to the single cheeseburger that my wife and a friend had recieved)
Too top it all of the Wagyu beef was charcoal burnt all the way through.

Possibly the worst meal I have ever eaten.

The burgers are better at Hungry Jacks...

Was souper excited about the reopening of this wonderful landmark. They have done a truly amazing job keeping the old with the new. An old fireplace halfway up a wall and some of the burnt timbers have been left in place which really adds to its character. There is a timeline of its history and even a retractable roof. Just fantastic!!
Unfortunately the food is not on the same level, very overpriced and underwhelming. Supermarket sliced bread on the side of the smoked meat dishes. A 21$ Caesar salad that was a side-salad size, one of the worst I have eaten. Really hoping that once they have cashed in from everyone checking out the new decor that they update the menu to something more reasonable.
