The King's Hotel

I do vaguely remember coming here a couple of times with my old work, but it is still one of those pubs that generally sat a little under the radar where I was concerned. That probably had a lot to do with it being to the south of King William Street, a side of the city that I very rarely ventured in namely because it was just that little to far to walk. Also, the pub was never one of those pubs that everybody would talk about. However, it was still a half decent pub, and when we landed up here on afternoon we decided to make it out lunch spot. The schnitzel wasn't bad, and there were some pretty decent beers on tap. Also, they happen to have bottle shop just around the corner.

This was a slightly expensive but very decent pub lunch. The burger was a quality burger with nice fat chips on the side. The bacon was delicious. Good service too.

Brilliant South Australian Own concept across food, wine and beer. Has all teh best of teh state in one place. I recommend the pie floater with a Vale Pale followed by a Fruitchoc icecream!

Absolutely ATROCIOUS business!! Didn't even get to eat. We had a voucher purchased online through Scoopon, a website that businesses use to promote their goods and services, but when we went to use it they wouldn't honour it under the conditions printed on the voucher itself. The owner actually called me a liar and said we were too cheap to purchase a main meal. We had spent $98 getting the vouchers and had intended to spend more as the vouchers were for 4 and we had 6 in our party. A disgusting way to treat customers, particularly because we had already spent our money. A truly heinous individual who should not be in customer service.

How pubs should be. Great decor, atmosphere, and friendly,efficient staff. McLaren Vale Ale on tap and the most outstanding pie floater of your life. (Also, I am reliably informed there are hair straighteners for use in the ladies toilet!!)
