The Lucky Shag Waterfront Bar

Okay, while I'm not an expert on Perth, I suspect that is pub is relatively new, at least in regards to the some of the other developments. Basically it is what I would call a waterfront bar, which is not surprising considering that it is built on the edge of the Swan River, or lake, or whatever you want to call it. The pub itself is quite charming, and the outdoor area has some lovely views, even at night. Also, there are some good beers available, not a huge selection, but some good ones nonetheless. No doubt a great place for a night out.

Arrived around 7pm-ish on Saturday night and the security staff treated as like criminals! Made us line up before going in, spoke to us like children "how many drinks have you had?, no drinking games aloud, we will be watching you, if we catch you doing anything wrong we will kick you out". We did not feel welcome at all, we only went in to spite them. Security staff then watched us the whole time. One of them called me over because my friend was speaking to loud? I understand you have a job to do but this was way over the top! Never going back ever again!

Looking at these reviews I am very confused. I live local and have Being Here many of times.3 months ago I had family visit and I took them there for lunch and drinks. Burger was next to raw. Quiche had a hair in it. Fish and chips were very average . Drink is very pricey. After that I swore that was the last it would see if me. So it's been 3 months and yesterday I was passing by and me and my wife and toddler said we would give it another chance. Well well well was that a stupid idea. Nothing has changed, drinks are over priced with dirty lipstick still on the glass and a angry barmaid when you ask for a clean one . Chips came out in a bag on a plate and we're basically rubbish. Pizza was cooked around the edges soggy in th middle and over loaded with cheese and Parmesan that had juices just dripping all over the place. Great location by the Bell Tower and overlooking the Swan River.
The pub come highly recommended and I enjoyed a late lunch and a glass of bubbles on the back deck, taking in the views.
My Moroccan Chicken salad was tasty and service prompt.
Didn't get lucky tho...
