The Original Pancake Kitchen

Filthy place and uncooked food. Still paid $65 for our meal that we could not eat. When chef re cooked my meat that was under cooked he brought it out burnt, chewy and with lumpy gravey. My husband had raw meat also with a dirty stain on his glass he was drinking from. When asked if we enjoyed meal i said no and still had to pay full price. Never will i go here again and will tell all family and friends never to go either.

I read recently that the Pancake Kitchen has new owners. Maybe that change might induce me to check out if anything has improved. But on my last visit the service was so appalling and rude that my friends on the night and I resolved to never again visit unless some radical shake up occurred to improve the customer service. We were a group of quiet females who had attended a travel evening and since we had not had time earlier for dinner we decided to go to the Pancake Kitchen for a meal. We were not noisy. We paid promptly. There were some issues with the food for one person in our grioup and we all suffered very very slow service. But the rudeness to nearby customers, by the arrogant staff, was terrible. Then one person in our group pointed out that something was not ok with one meal served and she was polite about it. If you love pancakes, this is totally where you need to head!
Huge shop in Gilbert Street that obviously really popular and great for a feed.
It's open 24 hours so you can drop in any time.
Stopped by for a cuppa myself and service was quick and friendly.

I love this place!! The pancakes are so fluffy and great value for money.

YUMMM! hubby loves the big breakfast, while i love the blue berry crepes.

the kids have tried every single pancake flavor!! its delicious, no complaints on the food.

the price is a bit pricey for a family of 5 - so we only go for a special treat.

the staff are nice, but so short sharp and seem like they need to rush all the time (even when not busy)
