The hairdresser that was doing my hair from beginning to end was in a real mood. Her sleeve swiped me all over my face while she was washing my hair, her comb and brush hit my ears and my face, and then I was charged an obscene $120 for the cut, which was very minor in terms of hair cuts. Other staff members seemed to be lovely and helpful, but I definitely won't be coming back.
I went to the Shearing Shed for the first time the other day and though I wanted to love it, too many factors made it an awful experience.
I walked in for my appointment, was told they were running late and to come back in twenty minutes. Came back twenty minutes later and was sat in a waiting chair for another 30-40 minutes. Had a great hair-dresser - Laura - & the salon were kind to stay open til 10.30pm to finish mine and 2 other customer's hair on a Thursday night. That said, my appointment was at 7.15pm for half a head of highlights. It took over 3 hours from the moment I walked in the door. Understaffed or overbooked or something wrong.
Overall I would not recommend this place to anyone. Unfortunately the manager kept interfering with what my good hairdresser was trying to do. She was extremely patronizing, basically saying that the Shearing Shed would save me from the tragic underworld of the current state of my hair. Must admit, I have never had such terrible customer service and walked out feeling that I would just save my hair appointments for my trips to London where salons actually have a clue about style and try to make people feel good instead of boosting their own egos by putting others down.
AS recommended I booked myself into the shearing shed .Well I was not disappointed .I had a colour and cut and just love it .the salon is quirky . I was looked after from the time I arrived until the time I left , It also had a great happy atmosphere .At last I think there will be no more bad haircuts for me as I booked in for my next one .YEH !!!!!THank you girls .
