Our second visit to the Shot Tower with 12 years between, and so very pleased to discover the same lovely operator there to catch up on the years in the area since our last visit. The shot tower remains one of my favourite places in Tasmania to visit, as one can appreciate the historical magnitude of such a building, whilst at the same time enjoying beautiful views of the incredible green countryside, which is Hobart and Tasmania. A lovely gift shop selling everything from postcards to a comprehensive book on the tower's history, tea rooms underneath - and lovely peaceful grounds which we enjoyed a quiet explore around, whilst the children spent their holiday money on souvenirs in the gift shop. 12 years on and the trademark sticker for having climbed to the top of the shot tower still lives faithfully on!
