I’m really not all that much of a fan of the James Squire pubs, namely because they just feel a bit too franchisey to me. Okay, they aren’t necessarily all that bad, and they certainly have their own unique character, and the beer is reasonably decent as well. However, I guess it is the ubiquitous nature of these places that sort of make me a little bored of the place.
Would I eat here again??? God NO!!! Went on a quiet night so no excuses. Steak was dry and tough when I asked for medium rare, chips were cold and the salad (if you can call it that) was so poor. My wife ordered the schnitzel and it was so cold and rock solid if I had thrown it at the ground I think the cement would've cracked before the schnitzel did. The apology we received after I made a complaint was "Would you like a dessert?" Let me think ummm NO. After what I was served I'm not going to risk eating anything else from your kitchen. The only reason you're getting half a star is because I have to give you something. Well I suppose the view was the best thing about it. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY EVERYONE
