The Stables Bar

Great atmosphere, service, food and drink selection. Love coming mid-afternoon during the week for a quick catch up with friends. Love the upstairs casual drinks area.

I sort of wonder whether this was named after the fact that long ago there were some stables set up here. Anyway, this is one of those laneway bars that have caught on in the cities outside of Melbourne. When I was there it was packed, but then again it was a Friday night, and also suggests a good bar. Personally, I liked it, but only because of the great selection of beers on tap. While not a big fan of crowded bars, the atmosphere was electric.
