The Tops Organic Retreat is set on 2000 private acres nestled at the foothills of the World Heritage listed Barrington Tops.Stay in the stunning self catering timber cottages and luxury loft cabins with king spas and cosy fires. There are 20 kilometres of pristine creeks and rivers, 50 kilometres of beautiful walks and 4WD tracks. The Tops serves Australia's best certified organic wines and organic meals with friendly service and welcoming hospitality in the bar and restaurant. The property includes an all weather tennis court with night lights, swimming pool, fishing, stables and paddocks, arranged horse riding, an extensive movie selection, snooker/pool table, mountain bikes and the most beautiful rain forest walks. The property has the complete unspoilt diversity of Barrington Tops with hundreds of unique birds, mammals and rare species. Try and spot the elusive brumbies, koalas, wedge tail eagles, platypus in Hookes and Jems Creeks.
Just had the pleasure of a 5 day stay here and it was just wonderful. The lodges are comfy and some are self catering. But who needs that when the food in the retreat's own restaurant is so good. And, being totally organic, also good for you. There's lots of great walks on the property and also up the road at Barrington Tops. The couple that run the Retreat made our stay even more special with their friendliness and desire to help. Be warned if you go, that there is no mobile reception. You'll just have to relax and enjoy yourself.
