I had a very enjoyable evening at this social enterprise that leaves you feeling so good, not just because the food and margaritas and other drinks are excellent, but because of the purpose of this licensed venue. I've been following them on Instagram too, and noticed that people have hired out the whole place for functions, even a wedding reception recently! What a funky spot for a reception. I went for a week night dinner and the food was so fresh and the enthusiasm of the volunteer staff is infectious, very fair prices. Thanks again to the person or people who dreamed up this concept, it is wonderful and I have no guilt at all in drinking three margaritas over the course of my night out, knowing the profits are going to help people in need.
I wish I could give this eatery ten stars, the food and drinks are great, but it's the concept and the story behind it that makes it deserving of such a high score. This is a project that will deliver all profits to help those less fortunate than ourselves in many countries, to provide education and basic items that we all take for granted. Most staff are working here are volunteers, but very professional, and their enthusiasm is infectious. The service and the food is warm and friendly, and the volunteers must adhere to the Responsible Service of Alcohol code...this place is licensed, and our drinks were excellent. Now, for the food...our choices of fajitas and empanadas were mouth-watering. I can't wait to return to try some of the offerings with a more Asian flavour. It's a really pleasant experience that has much to recommend.
