I booked a conference room at the Wembley Hotel and it was absolutely great! Being a senior marketing executive and getting an opportunity to impress your seniors is a big deal when a raise, your reputation and skills are on the line, Wembley raised the impact of my presentation through its fantastic multimedia set-up and seating arrangements. I had a talk with the guys who were setting up, telling them to arrange the chairs in a way which will enable an easy view to my slides and they did an excellent job, the room was spacious, classy and accommodated a lot of people who were served fabulous dinner and drinks by the end of the session. A reasonably priced drinks list and hearty meals with generous servings make this one of Perths most convenient pubs. You know what youre getting when you go down to the Wembley and the welcoming and friendly vibe makes for a very relaxed feel, which is always the makings of a great night/day sesh! Functions also available with a few private rooms, which is handy if youre planning a party. But ultimately the reason go to the Wembley is because they just do the simple things right :)
The Wembley is a great place to head for after work drinks on a Friday. The bar staff are fast and friendly. They also serve pretty fantastic pizzas if you're feeling peckish.
If you have business cards make sure to drop a couple into to their bowl, and they give away free drinks and pizza! As if we needed the extra excuse to go!
Their Sunday Session is one of the best places to wind out the weekend in Perth. Good food, funky tunes and a very relaxed unpretentious atmosphere. Winter Footy on the big screen in the back bar and DJs in the front bar and during Summer, a great vibe in the beer garden with DJs and cocktail jugs. Fun times!
My local for many years, I have enjoyed many pints and games of pool at the Wembley. However, I feel it lost a bit of its local flavour after its renovation a few years back. Still, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great when sitting in the beer garden outside.
