The Wharf Hotel

Being located beside the Yarra, Wharf Hotel is located at the base of the World Trade Centre. I was invited here for dinner but couldn't make it in time so by the time I had arrive, the majority of party had already left. So what else to do other than order drinks? I was hard pressed with what to choose as there were 8 different beers on tap. You should also note the bottled beer list, its fairly lengthy. The lighting around the bar seemed quite dark, not sure whether due to being close to closing time or time of night. We moved outside to enjoy the crisp Spring night. The staff were friendly and came to chat to us before annoucing that the bar will be closing shortly. Overall, a pleasant venue and staff so have noted Wharf Hotel on my "to come back" list.

Went here for a very subdued Halloween party/their 6th birthday bash. Super low-key, although that's more my style anyway. Nice views of the fire show outside Crown Casino every hour, and of the gondolas drifting down the Yarra. Stick to wine and beer though, my friend had two cocktails and said they were way too weak for the price tag.

This is a great fun place to meet up for drinks, a meal, or a coffee. On a nice day, it's gorgeous to sit outside overlooking the Yarra. On a cold day, there's cozy booths complete with candles for having a chat with friends. Food and drinks are a little overpriced but quite good and fairly generous serves. Nice clean bathrooms and a dance floor too.

Recently I attended the Wharf Hotel for an event, we packed out the entire place, more than a hundred people Id say and we all had a great time.
Firstly the sun setting over the Exhibition Centre was a very picturesque sight and made for a lovely view across to Crown and beyond. Being right by the water kept the temperature at a comfortable level for the afternoon and the evening and the glass fencing around the seating area kept the wind down so as not to disrupt our party.

This review exclusively covers their New Year's Event.
It was a beautiful setting for a New Year's party. Right on the Yarra River, great outdoor area with palms. Unfortunately the Nautical New Year's event just didn't live up to the advertised expectations they had set.
The advertised "Amazing views of the fireworks" was the most disappointing. With the venue being located between Federation Square and the Docklands, the only views we got of the fireworks was the reflections in the buildings opposite.
