It was a balmy night when we visited The Wharf and we were surprised by the lack of patrons. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant looked inviting. We ordered a shared tasting pita/dips/olives which was ok. For mains we both chose Porterhouse, mine with mushroom gravy and his was "surf&turf". Im sure my steak was scotch fillet, I'm not complaining because it was good, but it was not to order, and his steak was also very good, but the prawns were tasteless. All in all an ok venue in a beautiful location, a bit over priced for what you get on the plate...
Thank you for a wonderful night. We were greeted outside the restaurant & seated at a table. The staff were a happy bunch, very polite & the service was quick. The food was sumptuous! I would recommend without hesitation. Good old fashion service with a smile. We will be back!
The Wharf has been a favourite restaurant of mine for the past year and a half and i find quite the opposite reaction to the below reviews. Great food ( Especially the reef and beef ) and real friendly genuine service. would and do recommend it to all my friend and they offer a 10% discount for filling out a feedback form
I was looking forward to writing a nice positive review after reading several like the one below, but i can't! I went to a hens night at the Wharf tonight and found exactly the same frustrations as others, poor service was the biggest issue. We had paid for drinks that ended up sitting on the bar and not being delivered to the tables after paying for them up front, 2 hours between ordering and meal delivery, and staff that were quite unsure and unprofessional. I must say however all 22 meals we had ordered did get delivered to the table at the same time and that is quite difficult, but in saying that i am sure our orders were left till last as we did wait 2 hours. The food was average and expensive, I paid $11 for a side salad that was lettuce mix, 2 slices of tomato (that was NOT vine ripened as the menu described) and DICED ...read more
