The Yorkshire Hotel

This is one of those pubs that I would see every morning from the train on my way to work, so I decided to check it out one afternoon. Well, my first impression wasn't all that great so I basically decided to leave it. However, more recently, I decided to go back here and give it another shot. Well, it was okay, but not really one of my favourite pubs. They do have a happy hour, and the bartender was pretty nice, but it still feels like one of those tired old pubs. Sure, there is a nice beer garden, and a decent restaurant as well, however with so many other great bars and pubs in the Abbotsford area this really isn't one that's going to draw me back any time soon.

I really liked this place, nice food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere

On Wed 12/10/11 my work colleagues and I used several scoupon vouchers to dine at the Yorkshire Hotel. The waitresses were very nice and accomodated our group but unfortunately the management was not happy and barged in and started talking in a raised voice from across the dinning room about how we were getting "free food". Highly recommend this place. The owners and Chef Leceister O'Loughlin have turned the Yorkshire into what I consider one of the best places to eat in Melbourne.

They've achieved this by offering subperb food and wine with minimal fuss and pretention.

There's lots that's change about this place in the last 6 weeks. New owners, new chefs. great pub food at a great pub.
I'm looking forward to my next trip to the Stingo as the food is amazing. The wait staff are more than pleasant and really know their stuff.
You guys have turned a good pub in to a great pub!
I hear live music on a Sunday is in the pipeworks.
