The Theatre Royal is Australia's oldest working theatre. We present an annual program of of local, national and international live theatre, contemporary music and dance productions, comedy, circus and children's theatre.
Tours of the Theatre operate Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11am.
Hear entertaining stories about the theatre's history and some of the performers who have trodden its boards. As the Theatre Royal is a working theatre, please note that due to rehearsals and performances, tours operate subject to change without notice.

I love the Theatre Royal. It may be an old building but that is it's charm. It is small so most seats are good, it is very easy to book and to see exactly where you will sit. The atmosphere is great but you have to go upstairs to the toilets and there are only a few so this is a problem when it is a full house or if you have mobility problems.
