Great food, the pizzas here are spectacular, would recommend.

We have frequented Tiamo many many times. We now have it down pat..a quick little tram ride to Lygon Street, a stroll down the street, perhaps a purchase, a snoop in next-doors Readings bookshop, and then a table at Tiamo for either a late lunch, early dinner or after movie dinner.. (the Nova cinema has an excellent choice of films and is directly across the road!). Children are always welcome and GF is well catered for...including homemade pizzas and pasta. We always choose an outside table...which offers winter warmth via well placed heating. What I like about this place is that you can order wines in a full or half carafe, the red was particularly tasty.

Tiamo has been serving meals to hungry hordes of students from nearby Melbourne Uni for decades and you can see why. The meals are great value and the hearty Italian cuisine is satisfying. Complement this with a good coffee and dessert and you're set. I had wondered if Tiamo was still good after all these years. The answer is yes.
