Just bought the most gorgeous pair of boots.. perfect for the rainy weather! Maybe you all went on a bad day, but I was attended to quickly and once I told them what I was looking for both the ladies were bringing out different styles to find the right pair that I wanted and I did. Plus I put two others on layby which they were really good about. Most other designer stores I've been to look down at you when you ask to layby things.
Working in retail myself I can understand what misshop and violetrose were talking about.. Then again when your working and someone comes in and shoves their foot into all the shoes your trying to sell I can understand the reactions of the staff. Thats still no excuse for acting rudely, but I have done it myself when customers come into my store and try on dresses (I sell wedding dresses) that are far too small for them and they end up tearing stitching etc. Its not fair to the products or the staff.
I am always on the hunt for an individual shoe and handbag set which isn't going to cost an arm and leg and the ladies in the store really helped me find what I was looking for. So when I had another wedding coming up I went straight there. They recognised me from before and I got a gorgeous leather keyring as well as a gift.
I completely agree with violetrose. My shopping experience was totally ruined by the rude, arrogant and sarcastic sales person I encountered. The service I received was utterly unprofessional and simply the WORST I have ever experienced in my life. I was quite frankly scolded for simply trying on their shoes. I do believe a shop with poor customer service like this shouldn't be on a street along with the many high quality designer and branded stores. After all, service in my opinion is everything in the designer fashion and shoe business, and the money we pay should really reflect proportionally to customer service.
One store assistant was downright rude, confrontational and argumentative. They complained when I found another pair of shoes to try on. Insisted that I walk on the slippery wooden floor when I was comfortable walking on the carpet, then contradicted everything that I happened to say. In the end, I walked out without purchasing. One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a shoe store. Appalling service as I expected so much more from a so called 'designer' store. I will never be going back to this store again.
