I'd like to thank Ari for his professionalism. My MacBookPro’s video memory failed turning my laptop into a very expensive paperweight. He was able to recover all my data in less than three hours and provided me with a new external drive containing all my files. Very disappointing giving most reveals was positive. First of all, I can't help but think that it is a bit of false advertising! They claimed "No Fix – No Charge"! Well, that wasn't the case for me!
At the beginning, the quote was free and they quoted for $1200 and they sounded very certain that he could recover 100% of the files. They seem helpful and agree to give me $100 discount. After I have agreed to the price I have to pay NON-refundable $350 deposit. Three weeks later the called me and told me that they can't fix it and have recovered 0% of the files and I have lost $350 to them, they were just going to toss out my hard drive.. so at the end, I've just picked it up myself! So I don't see how they can advertise "No Fix – No Charge" on their website.
I’ve recently used Total Data Recall’s data recovery services and was really impressed with the quality of their work. During my initial phone call Ari was very helpful, after a few questions he has diagnosed what was wrong with my external RAID hard drive, gave me an estimate and a schedule of data recovery. He was really flexible in accommodating my work hours and provided me with several options to ship my hard drive to his lab. At the end I played it safe and dropped off the disk myself, the lab is located in Alexandria and was easy to find, parking was fine as well. Within four days my hard drive was repaired, all my video footage and Final Cut project files were recovered and backed up - pretty good!
Don't bother. Had my hard drive for three months. Did not call me once. I called every week, was told exact same thing. In the end. I picked up the hard drive, took it to other repair centre, they fixed it in 24 hours, and said that they didn't think it had even been looked at previously.
