Trims Restaurant

Popped in for brekkie on the way back to Melbourne. A good coffee and a serve of fantastic scrambled eggs with locally smoked salmon and buttery leeks was just what we needed.

Trims has been great for me Ride the bike down Sunday mornings, park it on the grass Eat inside or outside depending on the weather. Best scrambled eggs on the Peninsula friendly staff. Great location near the Arthurs Seat road. Bikers dream.

Wow, what to say? We waited almost an hour to the minute for our breakfast order to arrive. When it did it was underwhelming. And the excuse we were given was that "it's a small kitchen"!!! Have you ever heard of the saying "quality, not quantity"? If its such a small kitchen then why have so many tables set up outside as well as inside? Oh, further we had to place our own order and clear our own table in order to make room for the breakfast before it arrived. After complaining we received a partial refund... Too late. I'm happy to pay money for good service and quality... Not this, sorry.

I had a living social voucher. I rang to book a table and that was all fine. At the end of the conversation i was asked if i had a voucher. I said yes, the staff then told me i could not use the voucher. I was giving trims a second chance as previously i have had bad service there. This is unacceptable. I will be telling my friends and family to stay away.

luv luv luv everything about trims. From the outside area in spring /summer with the wisteria hanging from the roof to the fireplace and cosiness of the couches on the inside in winter. The staff are always welcoming and happy. We like to go at least once a week to trims to chill and unwind. Breakfast, lunch what ever we have is always beautiful. welll presented and very tasty. And the best bit, they do a fab vanilla latte, which its very hard to get a good coffee anywhere these days. well done , we will definately keep returning.
