A beautiful building for an ordinary pub
Nhill has the distinction of being the town that is around about halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne. When we were young we would stop off here for the night, namely because it is an eight hour drive and my Dad did want a rest. However we never went into the pub when I was young (most likely because that was not really my Dad's scene). Years later we continued to stop off at Nhill and one time I wondered around the town looking at the pubs. I found three this one, one that had closed, and another. This one was a rather narrow affair with no appreciable beer garden (or any at all), a bar, and a dining room. At least I was able to sit here quietly and have a beer, though there was really no ambience whatsoever.
