Vine Double Bay dining room & wine bar is nicely located in the laneways just off the main strip. Depending on your point of view, my I think it's great. It's quite an elegant fit out with long tables and private areas for groups, casual bar / cocktail reception areas both inside and out and themed to it's name, strategic accents of greenery throughout the space and weaved into the roof!

Newly relaunched this is a stunning restaurant in Double Bay. The decor is flowing, elegant and romantic with a large bar area, communal table and smaller tables both indoor and out.
We started with a couple of the cocktails from the weekly special menu - the vine street sunset and the old fashioned. The food menu is designed to share and is divided into starters, small plates, salads and larger plates. For a starter we could not go past the salmon carpaccio with yuzu and trout roe, a light and tasty way to start the night. For a light meal for one, it would be hard to beat the Charred Cos Salad ($22) with glass of the 2015 Flametree Margaret River Chardonnay ($14/glass). Butter, oak and driving acid make this wine a good companion to this super-tasty salad, that teams spiced chicken, quail egg and charred cos lettuce with lashings of compelling anchoiade (a sauce made from pureed anchovies, garlic and olive oil).
Vine Double Bay recently re-opened in February, and although I never had the pleasure of experiencing the venue prior to its transformation, I can tell you it is well worth a visit.
