AVOID VIRGINIA NURSEY - IT HAS BAD RETURNS POLICY AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
My family and friends are regular customers since we moved to Angle Vale 2 years ago. We often have brekky at Doncho's after church. It has been a good experience so far until today when I had to return an item I bought from Stella's. It was still in its original packaging and has not been used however the STORE MANAGER ---DAMIEN -- said we cannot replace or return it because "it looks like it has been used and smells like vinegar". All throughout the conversation, he was UNABLE TO LOOK ME IN THE EYE AS HE REPEATEDLY INSISTED THAT IT WAS USED. He spoke calmly as I did, but was painfully condescending to me. It is a small item however being a loyal customer I thought it would help him give feedback to his supplier of said item more than getting the refund or ...read more
Rang up the day before to ask about stock of a tree I wanted. They said had one left and put it aside. I even double-checked on phone that it was the right one as had to drive 1 1/2 hours to get there, they confirmed correct. Arrived there next day and low and behold it's the wrong tree, no stock of the tree I wanted. Offered no resolution. Didn't even ask me if I wanted help with anything else, choice of a different tree or needed anything else. Their response, "what do you want us to do about it, paint it purple for you?". If you enjoy incompetence, rudeness and no customer service then this is the place for you.
I am very disappointed with the customer service received from the Nursery regarding possible replacement of a plant which was damaged due to fasterners ripping. I spoke to a staff member and explained that recently we purchased 2 Syzygium Big Red standard. During windy weather the top of one of the plants broke off as it wasn't properly secured to the support stick. I was told that the fasteners were only a temporary solution andin their opinion, it was "assumed" knowledge by clients that these were to be replaced once taken home. In my opinion this is lack of due diligence by the nursery because when I purchase a procuct I expect that nothing should go wrong with it, unless it's my fault. After a discussion with his Manager, the staff member said he did not have good news for me he was afraid, as his manager stated that since the plant left the premises undamaged they could not be responsible for any damage caused once at your own place. Customer service training is needed for your staff. The female staff member working in the nursury today has absolutely zero customer service skills. She made me feel like I was intruding by being there. When I asked for help she told me she would be with me shortly, even though she was doing nothing and then simply ignored me. Terrible experience and will spend my money else where. Given their location and the time we spent travelling to get there, you would hope that their customer service would be excellent. We took a 8x5 trailer to fill with plants for our new garden and had $1500 to spend. Went to Garden grove and spent our money there. Will never go to virginia nursery again.
I visited the nursery for the first time today to purchase a fair amount of hedging for our garden. Asked a blonde female working in the shrubs section for help and her customer service skills were non existent. Told me to wait whilst She finished talking, she was more interested in talking to a colleague than serving me. Horrible first experience, will never go back.
