Problems with vehicles can be inconvenient, stressful and costly. I do not understand very much about the mechanics of things and so I usually find that I am completely at the mercy of any mechanic who looks at my car. A while ago I took a car, that I was selling, to Waverley Service Centre for a roadworthy certificate. They kept me informed of the requirements for the car to be made roadworthy and then carried out the works to a high standard. The cost was very reasonable too!
More recently my son purchased his first car. Not long after the purchase the car began to have problems. I felt concerned as I am not knowledgable in this area and my son was looking to me for guidance. So we went to Waverley SUPER centre. They have twice now looked at the car, hooked it up to the computer ...read more
I drove to this centre this morning for changing my child seat as it was dangerous. I requested one of the technicians as there was no one in the reception. The process became a little tricky and hence another technician gave a hand. They were really great- but it took a little while. Just then a lady who seemed like a supervisor came and said ' I need my boys; I can't charge you for this. Let her take it to baby bunting. She's not even a customer'. The boys left with a car seat that she wobbly. I'm truly grateful for them coming into help- but with that's attitude she probably lost a customer. I would have appreciated somebody polite conversation in communicating the message. Not only wasn she rude; she said left me with a dangerous seat for the afternoon pick up. Disappointed
Hi PH1, we all understand that the safety of our children is of the highest importance, therefore it is legally required in Vicotria that the installation is done by a Certified Baby Car Seat Installer. There are several sites avaliable in Victoria where you can book an appointment. Unfortunately on some occasions we are too busy to help people without an appointment but we always try to accomodate where we can as best we can.
Thanks- my only issue was the line of communication. The same message could've been communicated with a level of politeness instead of rudely walking out on me. I wonder how someone who comes there for the first time is dealt with if they're not existing customers.
This place is awesome. On more than one occasion they have reinforced my faith in good people and good service.
Most recently, after noticing a strong smell of petrol over the weekend, I rang first thing on a Monday morning and asked if I could have someone take a look at it between my morning and afternoon jobs. They were busy, but agreed.
I arrived and shortly afterwards found out that I had petrol leaking into the engine and my car was unsafe to drive. As I started Googling “car rentals” and wondered if I should be ringing people depending on me in the afternoon, and even the following day’s people, Kylie (aka “super woman”) was able to organize a courtesy car for the afternoon and Con (aka “my hero”) showed me the source of the leak, and assured me I could have my car back on the road by the end of the work day. ...read more
I have all my cars serviced at Waverley Service Centre and I would have to say they are by far the most outstanding mechanics I have been too. Kylie, Con and staff give five star service at all times, nothing is a problem and they also offer a loan car. Costs are always explained prior to any works, no surprises like some other mechanics.
Hi i had to get some major engine work done on my car recently, i loved the way Kylie and the mechanics walked me through every step of the repair making sure i knew beforehand what they were doing and how much it would cost. they made me feel comfortable in an environment i am unfamiliar with. thanks
