Welcome Boarding Kennels & Cattery

I would like people to be aware that in my opinion Welcome Boarding Kennels know nuts about dogs. In 2013 we wanted to board our dog & they could not even put a lead on our 16 year old jack Russell. After the dog hotel receptionist, who was a receptionist only, & clearly not a competent dog handler, tried for 20 minutes with treats, a 2nd person attempted also with no clue. They then advised us that we could not leave our dog as they could not handle him. Meanwhile we were travelling overseas the next day. The stress that this caused us through their incompetence of not knowing how to handle the dog. What a joke. Call themselves professional kennels??? They know nothing about animals & behaviour. I would not recommend this kennel to anyone. Absolutely hopeless. Clearly this place is all front & equipped possibly maybe, to handle toy poodles. Disgusted. What a joke.

I have done all my research when looking for kennels for my two dogs ...And I have not been able to find anything that compares or goes close to Cottage Kennels ... my dogs are a very important part of my life so I want the best for them ..as we turn of to go to Cottage Kennels ...my dogs bark and continue until we arrive ... I hand them over to the girls and my dogs trot off with out a backwards glance ...When I pick them up they are happy , healthy and I like to think glad to see me but I really think they are more than happy to stay a few extra days...I can highly recommend "Cottage Kennels".....I have to say I that my dogs have now been there for many years and I would not think of putting them anywhere else ...the dogs love the staff ...we can phone any time and speak to some one personally ...I would leave my dogs no where else but here ...I go away knowing my dogs are being well cared for ....Thank you Cottage Kennels from "Chance & Anzac"........and also "Bob & Ben"

Have just picked my dog up from Welcome Kennels after a 9 day stay. It was a fantastic experience for both us and him. He was shown so much love by the staff and we were made to feel as though he was their only client. I was extremely nervous about leaving him at a kennel as he can be a little difficult to handle when he doesn't know you but we were advised to leave him over night before we went away so we could both get used to it. That turned out great and he was eager to go back.

Our cat has had three "holidays" at Welcome. We inspected the facilities on the first visit, and were impressed with the play areas for the cats. Our cat has come home stressed from another cattery, but has generally been calm after staying at Welcome. The home delivery service (or, "cataxi", as we call it) is handy and reasonably priced. They only deliver very early in the morning, but it's good to have an alternative to driving out to Yarrambat. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.
