Willow Bar is a darkly stylish bar, a perfect venue for live music and spoken word gatherings. Everything is arranged to maximise listening space and comfort for an intimate audience; the front area includes a small stage, booths, couches, and a sound desk, with a weather-proof beer garden and restrooms at the back, and the bar in between. The performance space exudes artistic opulence, most appropriate to their catalogue of groovy events. Decorative lanterns hang from a 'plate-mail' ceiling, indoor plants lounge between booths, dark curtains divide the stage from the window, and the firebrick-painted walls are adorned with varied (and varying) artworks from local artists - often for sale. The array and price of drinks is comparable to any classy bar; cocktails for the aristocracy, wine, beer and spirits for the bourgeoisie, and water for the students and job-seekers.
