As a younger adult I love going to the windaroo tavern with some mates for some drinks and I love it there and the karaoke is great. The staff in the drive through are always friendly and great but the staff inside the tavern are not friendly at all. They are quite the opposite really! I would love to come to the tavern more if the staff were switched out with more enthusiacic and respectful workers.
Thought we would give this venue a try and we won't be going back. Food was very disappointing quality and over-priced for what it was. Service was OK. Stayed for karaoke, but very biased towards their regulars, visitors are left until last and not made to feel welcome.
The Windaroo Tavern has never been fantastic for customer service but was passable for a meal. That however was NOT the case on Mothers Day. The debacle of their 3 course set menu was an horrendous experience for 90% of the people unfortunate enough to book a table there that day. We left 3 hours after having our order taken still not having been served any food (apart from the kids meals which we had to hassle them for and that arrived 1 hour after placing our order). We were told by one staff that the manager had offered to refund our money and still serve us the food. Another staff then informed us that they had sold out of what we had ordered and were we happy to have the other menu item. We said that would be fine. After another half hour of waiting we asked again where the food was only to be told none would be coming out!! This type of customer 'service' is just not acceptable. The Windaroo Tavern is a fantastic place to go. Great meals, staff are friendly, and the Karaoke nights are heaps of fun. Actually the best karaoke show I have been to. Our group of 6 all have a great time and found the hosts very friendly and we all felt like superstars. Love this place.
