Woodstock Winery & Coterie

I went to this restaurant with a large group of people for a friend's birthday. I can not eat gluten, and found only 3 options on the menu that were gluten free. I ordered the fish of the day, and specifically requested that it be gluten free, as the menu indicated there was a gluten free alternative, and was told that wouldn't be a problem. When the meals came out, mine was a gnocci dish with fish on top. I asked the waiter if this was gluten free, as I had ordered. He returned from the kitchen a minute later and said everything was gluten free except the gnocci, so I could just eat around it. There was no apology. I was left with a meal I couldn't eat and told to "eat around" the gnocci. I have never experienced such poor service at a restaurant, let alone at such an expensive one! I got my money back and left hungry. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially anyone who may have special dietary requirements.

Enjoyed a fabulous 3 course lunch in the Coterie today... Shared a bottle of Chardonnay to begin, then Pilot's View Shiraz. Great food and experience for kids and parents. My kids really loved playing on the playground.
