Just came home from the most disgusting experience. My husband and I went this evening on a special occasion and literally walked out of the restaurant.
We walked in and were told to stand "Here" until called.. We waited up to about 8 minutes. We finally took our seats and given the beverage menu.. We waited a little while for our drinks which was fine however 40 mins later we were still waiting for our menu.. We got ...read more
DO NOT GO HERE. Went there with a pre-booked banquet but left after3.5 hours when only half the meal had arrived. After sitting down at 7pm, we received dips and pre-purchased pita bread at 8.30. After another hour, we received some octupus and prawns, However, some of the prawns were raw. By 10.15 , the next course had not come and we left. 2 courses were still due to arrive
I have visited zaks years ago and it was amazing! Made a booking for Saturday at 7pm and alarm bells were ringing when we were the first guests. The atmosphere was average. no music.. bright lights.. the waiting staff tried but lacked training. The entrees came out and were beautiful. Mains straight after.. my friend pulled a hair out her mouth from the mousaka, just as a waiter walked past , is everything ok, um no a hair, but in front of him i found another and pulled the longest hair out of the meal. We understand hairs happen. . No problem. . But then after confusion in the kitchen the chef comes out and accuses my friend of planting the hair as he said no one has blond hair here. It was awful we had to ask him to leave our table.. he didn't want to. The waiting staff felt embarrassed and apologized like they were used of it? That chef was out of line... we left 10 mins later.. paid bill.. will never go back. Dissapointing.
I am super disappointed. We came to Zak's to celebrate something important with a nice dinner. It has the slowest service ever (not for the first time). This time we got one entree almost 40 minutes later because "they stuffed up in the kitchen". Then waited for the mains almost as long and watched it to be delivered to the other table by mistake! Waited some more. Miscommunication in the kitchen, as we were told. 9 tables to serve on Friday night surely shouldn't be the rocket science! Brought the mains. My steak was raw mostly instead of medium rare and I couldn't even eat it. The manager offered $5 discount on top of our Entertainment book discount! I couldn't believe it! Absolutely shocking! Wouldn't recommend this awful place to anyone ever!
Came to Zak's Greek Restaurant for the first time to attend a birthday function. The food's that were pre-ordered for the party were very tasty. I really loved the grilled Haloumi, it was perfectly done! The meats that came out to-share were cooked well and the service was really good.
