The Zone Bakery has very yummy cakes and slices. The friendly staff do their utmost to fulfil a late request. They make the highest Napoleon Cake I have ever seen and it is to die for. So when my man forgot to order one for my birthday last week, he rang late the day before and found out they were not on the list for the next day. Howevernext morning when we entered the shop we saw there were 4 in the display case, one with our name on it!! Thanks so much for making my birthday extra special.
I concur with the other reviews about the poor level of customer service. It was surly at best. Regarding the products -- appalling! I ordered pastries: apple turnovers and apricot slice, both of which must have been languishing in refrigeration for so long that neither the flavour of pastry or fruit were discernible. Just a waxy fridge taste remained within what can be only described as elderly pastry skin. Completely in-consumable products.
Rudest staff ever when I visited today. I asked a question about a sign I read in the bakery. Staff responded abruptly to which I replied politely and said there was no issue and that I must have misunderstood it. Staff argued with me and said there was no such sign so I read it to staff. Still argued that there was no such sign so I finalised my purchase and walked out. Will never return. Feel sorry for the other staff who was at the counter while staff argued rudely with me. Unbelievable!
