My name is Robert Lopez. I am a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) who, until recently, owned and operated a combined taxation and financial services firm in Perth Western Australia. Twenty-five years as a taxation accountant and financial planner, over fifteen years of which, I spent building a sole practitioner taxation firm from no staff into a taxation/financial services firm of ten employees exposed me to much of what goes on in the accountancy profession.
����I have moved on from running an accountancy/financial services firm to concentrate on developing Expert System type solutions to aid bookkeeping and accountancy firms reduce the cost of and increase the accuracy of day-to-day compliance processing.� Bookkeeping and accountancy is often a battle against error as firms try and get it right within the time frames and cost limits they have to work with when undertaking client assignments. Moreover, shortages of skilled and motivated staff, the complexity of tax law and the overall difficulty of working with large amounts of information all combine to make public practice and bookkeeping a challenging profession. Finally, accountancy can easily become repetitive, tedious and ultimately boring for young graduates if attention is not given to designing challenging job profiles and career paths. ��The purpose of this site is to present and argue why an Expert Software System and the application that is set for release in 2012 may be a solution for many small business, bookkeeping and accountancy firms who are facing the difficulties and challenges mentioned above.
