RGT runs a successful Registered Training Organisation both in Canberra and Brisbane, providing high quality training and assessment services for Australian Apprentices participating in a wide range of nationally recognised qualifications.
The Automotive Skills Centre is a sub division of RGT's Registered Training Organisation and provides specialised training programs for the automotive industry.
RGT's Registered Training Organisation aims to provide a centre of excellence in training by promoting and developing an educated, skilled and flexible workforce for our target industries in the ACT.
RGT has a dedicated and highly motivated team with industry experience, formal nationally recognised training qualifications, workplace assessor skills, and a strong customer focus.
RGT is a not for profit organisation established in 1986 to provide training services to the automotive industry; initially a range of programs included:
- Pre-apprenticeship courses for disadvantaged jobseekers together with young people seeking to enter the automotive trade
- Short, specialised skills programs for experienced employees seeking to update and formalise their learning on new equipment and technologies
- Trade training courses for Australian Apprentices.
With 40 qualifications on its scope of registration, RGT provides training from the following packages, ranging from Certificate I to Diploma level:
