Chermside Early Education and Preschool Centre is one of the most established and highly accredited centres in the greater Brisbane region, providing the community with high quality, innovative care and education for the past 12 years. With great parental and guardian support we are continuing to develop our service to maintain high quality care.
We care and educate children from 6 weeks to 14 years of age. Each age group runs a high quality developmental and educational programme meeting the needs and interests of each child as well as the community·s expectations and requirements.
The centre boasts a new Emergent Curriculum which focuses on learning through natural curiosity, doing and self-directing, not through sitting before a teacher who imparts knowledge.
Our educators facilitate learning and extend as much as possible right there and then as the child's discovery unfolds.
As a result, children will develop a love for learning which will help them succeed in their future education. Their delight and spontaneous wonder should always be the first priority.
We believe food ingredients should come from the kitchen, not from a lab. From this belief came the inspiration to open our own production kitchen, the Healthy Cooking Company which provides morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea throughout our Child Care centres. We aim to create and promote natural and wholesome food with a number of health benefits.
As Educators, we believe in teaching children that physical activity can be fun as well as good for our bodies and minds. As a result we have employed the skills of a fully Qualified Personal Trainer to coordinate exciting exercise programs within our centres.
