The Feldenkrais Method is for anyone who wants to reconnect with their natural abilities to move, think and feel.
Learning to move with less effort makes daily life easier. Because the Feldenkrais Method focuses on the relationship between movement and thought, increased mental awareness and creativity accompany physical improvements.

Functional Integration
Hands on 60 mins in duration
If you have a movement difficultly that has not responded to treatment and you are interested in a whole body approach to move out of your pain or discomfort then specialised Functional Integration lessons are for you.
During a Functional Integration session I will typically ask what functions or movements you would like to improve. Take observation on the way you use yourself in those movements then you will typically be lying, sometimes sitting, full clothed on a padded treatment table. Using a hands on approach to investigate your movement patterns and explore the ways in which tension and ineffective muscular activity are impeding your moving freely.
This dialogue instigates a powerful process of realignment in your nervous system, in which new or rediscovered movement choices emerge through your experiential learning.
Functional Integration can be particularly helpful for:
- neurological conditions (strokes, brain injury, cerebral palsy, MS)
- chronic pain that has not responded to other treatment
- pain and disability after surgery
- overuse injuries (RSI, carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, etc.)
- back pain or neck pain, hip and knee problems, breathing difficulties
- arthritis or whiplash injuries.
