Although this is an ancient and valuable technique for health and healing, there are still many taboos, fears and misunderstanding concerning bowel cleansing. People are often afraid that doing colonics will weaken the bowel or wash away the good? bacteria or even damage the bowel and/or rectum. But as I assure all of my clients, colonics are incredibly gentle and effective with virtually no discomfort, embarrassment or harm that can be caused to the body.
In fact, they can only ever be of benefit! By hydrating, cleaning and exercising the bowel you are creating an immense investment in your future health. To gain the most benefits, clients are advised to make beneficial changes to their diet and lifestyle. Often this includes increasing water intake and adopting a diet rich in seasonal wholefoods wherever possible, alongside avoiding dietary stressors such as caffeine, alcohol, sugar, meat, dairy, wheat and heavily refined foods. Also regular physical activity and adequate stress management is essential.
