Debra is a practitioner, radio presenter, accomplished sportswoman, mother of two adult children and excited grandmother to new arrival Jonah. She believes in giving her patients practical yet personable advice, drawing on her life experience, to make the most of a healthy lifestyle but without having to sacrifice the finer things in life such as chocolate and alcohol.
Debra has been the resident Naturopath at Mermaid Central Medical Clinic on the Gold Coast since 1995, working in conjunction with a team of up to thirteen Medical Doctors at any one time. She is passionate about dealing with bowel and gut disorders, skin conditions and hormonal imbalances in males and females, drawing on her own personal experiences as the driving force of her inspiration to making these her expertise. She utilizes Herbal Medicines, Homeopathic remedies, Nutrition advice and Mineral therapy for the improvement of your health along with Iridology, Pathology and Allergy Testing.
Debra has a Diploma of Applied Science (Naturopathy) and is a Justice of the Peace (Qualified). She is a member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA) and is a Member's Choice Provider for Medibank Private.
Debra has been the expert Naturopath on local ABC radio 91.7 and interviewed about a variety of conditions, drawing mainly from her clinical experience and research, discussing topics ranging from constipation to cold sores and candida to gout. Her warm and matter-fact manner has made her popular with listeners. Having inherited several potentially debilitating aliments herself, Debra has utilised her knowledge by self-experimenting with herbal medicines and homeopathic remedies to dramatically improve her own health.
