Meditation classes:
------------------------
Our informal drop-in meditation classes are the ideal way to learn how to meditate. You can discover Buddhist approaches to the challenges of life and practice training the mind in a supportive and casual environment.
Each week we hear one of Buddha's teachings and relate it to modern life. There is no need to attend every class in a set of teachings, just come to the classes you can make. You don't have to book, just turn up on the night. The classes start at 7.30pm and finish about 9pm. We recommend coming 10 minutes early so you can be settled and still when the class starts.
The facility fee is $12. Classes consist of guided meditations, teaching and discussion, followed by refreshments.
Meditation day courses:
-------------------------------
Meditation day courses give us a chance to explore Buddhas teachings more than we can in an evening meditation class. By taking the time to contemplate and meditate, the teachings come alive for us in a practical and direct way.
The meditation day courses are designed to explore one of Buddha's teachings and explain how they are relevant for us today. We have the opportunity to hear profound teachings and then meditate on them so the meaning can go in deeply.
Courses start at 10am and finish at 4pm. There are breaks mid-morning and mid-afternoon, and an hour for lunch. Feel free to bring a plate and join us for a shared meal!
